2018-2019 Service Project: Margaret Mary Health Hospice Snack Bags
On November 16, 2018, Mom2Mom Batesville dropped off 31 bags filled to the brim at Margaret Mary Community Hospital Hospice Care. The caring nurses of MMCH delivered the bags, hand decorated by the children in Mom2Mom childcare, filled with tissues, hand sanitizing wipes, granola bars, gum, and other snacks, to families of Hospice patients during an emotionally difficult time. Also included in the bags were hand-written notes expressing our thoughts and prayer for the Hospice patients and their families. Due to the extreme generosity of our moms, we were also able to provide two bags filled with goodies for the dedicated individuals from MMCH that take care of the Hospice patients. We recently received a kind thank you from one of the families that received a snack bag. Although the bags have been sent off to various families around Batesville, our service isn’t over! Let’s keep these families, patients, and care givers in our thoughts and prayers.
Please stay tuned for information on our future Care projects, including meal trains, volunteer opportunities, and service projects.
